For Warrior fans, the celebration is on
It's celebration time for Golden State Warrior fans after the Warriors routed Dallas last night, 111-86, ousting the NBA's best regular season team and one many thought would win the title this season.
Nobody is celebrating any harder the folks over at the wildly popular Warriors blog, Golden State of Mind.
Here's a sample of what they are saying over at GSoM:
The world was shocked tonight, but we weren't! It was becoming increasingly popular to diss the Warriors, their loyal and passionate fans, the Bay Area, and GSoM, but who cares?
We got this W and that's ALL that matters.
I don't want to hear about how Dirk choked in the playoffs. I want to hear about the great defense from Stephen Jackson and the rest of the Dubs that we all nowitnessed in this series.
I don't want to hear about how Avery Johnson coached poorly against his mentor. I want to hear about the marvelous job that Nellie has done this whole season and how he tortured his former team.
I don't want to hear about how the Mavericks collapsed in the 1st round of the NBA Playoffs. I want to hear about how the Warriors OWN the Mavs and pulled off the greatest upset the NBA has ever nowitnessed.
I don't want to hear about how soft the Mavs' fans are. I want to hear about how Warrior fans are the best in the entire league.
I don't want to hear about how the Mavs are a team without heart. I want to hear about about how the Warriors are a TEAM.
I don't want to hear about the Mavericks' nightmare. I want to hear about the Warriors' dream.
Fact is, though, that in the end the Mavericks did choke. They didn't play anything like the NBA's best team. Their superstar, Dirk Nowitzki might win the regular-season MVP award. It will be an empty one, though. When his team needed him most Nowitzki couldn't -- or wouldn't -- step up for the Mavs. He shot 2-for-13 last night as Dallas' season went up in flames.
I stopped by Mark Cuban's blog this morning, only to be disappointed by the revelation on his site that he will no longer write about NBA-related items. That's too bad. I'd love to read about who the Dallas owner will blame for this disaster. Oh well, you can't have everything.
We love underdogs here at The View -- unless they are beating our beloved Yankees. So, we will just enjoy all the celebrating going on in Warrior Nation.

This blog is a fan of the underdog??? I hope that was a joke. You are a Yankee fan and thus you are not a fan of the underdog. That is an insult to those of us who actually ARE fans of the underdog. That statement screams retraction, once you get your foot out of your mouth of course!
