In New York, panic in the streets

New York sports fans panicked? Nah! Never happen. Would it?
  • Eli Manning says he could care less that fans of the New York Giants are panicked. As long as the players aren't.
  • As for fixing that woeful Giants defense, I have some thoughts on that at Big Blue View.
  • The New York Yankees are one win away from their 27th World Series title. Yankee fans aren't exactly relaxed, though, after Monday's 8-6 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. Join that discussion at Pinstripe Alley.

New York gets the important victory

Sunday's great battle for sports supremacy between Philadelphia and New York ended in a split decision.
  • On the football side, the Eagles slaughtered the New York Giants, 40-17. Read about the misery of Giants fans, and commiserate with them, at Big Blue View.
  • On the baseball side, the Yankees moved within one game of the World Series title with a 7-4 victory over the Phillies. You can read all about that at Pinstripe Alley.
All in all, I would say that New York came away with the victory that mattered.

Follow Yankees, Giants today

Follow my work in a couple of places today.
  • The New York Giants face the Philadelphia Eagles in a key NFC East game at 1 p.m. Talk about the game at Big Blue View.com.
  • My New York Yankees play the Philadelphia Eagles in Game 4 of the World Series tonight. You can talk about that at Pinstripe Alley.
